Domestic
Flights

There is domestic airlines as Myanmar Airways,
Air Mandalay and Yangon Airways operate daily flights from
the main tourist centres of Yangonto to other tourist destination
which is including Mandalay, Bagan, Heho, Thandwe, Myitkyina,Tachileik
and Kawthaung. Air tickets are available at some of Travel
/ Tour agents and Airline
offices.
Rail
Service
-
Yangon-Mandalay is the main rail trunk lines
with four express trains running daily between Yangon and
Mandalay which take about 12 hours.Special counters are opened
for tourist at Yangon station.

From Thazi station on the Yangon-Mandalay
line, a branch line runs to Skwenyaung (the nearest station
to Inlay Lake) and to Taunggyi. The fast way to go Bagan and
Inlay Lake- visitors have to get off at Thazi station
to take a bus. Travelling time from Thazi to Bagan is about
4 hours and from Thazi to Shwe Nyaung (Inlay lake) about 5
hours.

From Mandalay, there are rail services to Pyin
Oo Lwin, Lashio, Monywa and Bagan. There is also a rail service
from Yangon to Bagan which operate on alternate days.

Road
Transport

There are 12 Highway Bus services running
between Yangon and Mandalay using air-conditioned coaches
and travelling time is about 14 hours with brief stop over
at Taungoo and Pyinmana. All the tourist sites are accessible
by road.

Regular bus services are running between Yangon
and Mandalay, Mandalay and Pagan, Pagan and Taunggyi.

Limousine taxis, mini-buses and ven are available
in Yangon for sightseeing and up country tours at car rental

River
Ways

Myanmar has many rivers and a large delta and
the Inland Water Transport operates a huge net work of water
way and triple-decker boats.

There is a regular service between Bhamaw and
Mandalay and between Mandalay and Pyay(Prome) via Bagan.

A 12-hour journey day-long boat trip from Mandalay
to Bagan-NyaungU twice a week and the most of tourist
are enjoyable the trip. Leaving from Mandalay early morning
and arriving Pagan by sunset.

Another popular accessible river trip in tourist
site is Ayeyawady Delta, Pathein. Tickets are available at
Myanmar Travel and Tour.

E & Q Services operate a luxury boat service
as "The Road to Mandalay" to sail from Mandalay
to Pagan during open season.

Irrawaddy Princess,a catamaran, operates between
Mandalay and Bagan and is also available for charter to Bhamaw
and Pyay (Prome).

The north and western part of the country are
very rugged and mountainous. Three parallel chains of mountain
ranges run from north to south.. The mountain chains separate
the country into three river systems the Ayeyarwaddy, Sittaung
and Than-Lwin.
